Boolean Operators

Boolean operators, AND, OR and NOT are used to compound keywords or a group of keywords when searching.
Boolean operators are unrelated to the position or the order of the keywords. Instead operates only based on whether the keywords exist or not.


  A AND B

Search for the data with both A and B keywords, regardless of the position or the order of the keywords.

e.g. printer AND head

  A OR B (A blank is recognized the same as OR)

Search for the data with either A or B keywords, regardless of the position or the order of the keywords.

e.g. Samsung OR Sony
  television OR video

  A NOT B

Search for the data with A but not B, regardless of the position or the order of the keywords.

e.g. engine NOT DOHC
